YMGCR BOWLS CLUB

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. Now that the festive season is over, it is time to refocus on the rest of the pennant season. The Mid Week is just around the corner and starts on the 11th of January and Weekend starts on the 15th. Actually, the A1’s are playing Corowa RSL on Friday night under lights.
In other news last Saturday at Rutherglen Les “wrong bias” Spencer (the news rapidly spread throughout the 2 greens that the big gun had made the dreaded sin), Ken Widdison, Andy Lefevre and Alan Bartlett from Corowa Civic won the Sonny Downs Men’s Fours at Rutherglen beating a crack rink from Wodonga and Wangaratta. On the Friday we had the YMGCR husband and wife combination Ian and Chris Price play in the mixed 4’s final with Mick and Caroline Reilly from Yarrawonga beating Garry and Claire Sanders and Wangaratta’s Laurie and Barb McDonald.
Wednesday Social Bowls will begin on the 5th and Friday on the 14th January.
