Friday Social Bowls.
A strong field of 40 players enjoyed each other’s company and the relatively mild weather on Friday the 14th of July. Play was across both the east and west greens. There were some strong performances among the game winners. The team of Greg Green and Julian Jones had a solid result winning by 24 shots. Ian Febey and Les Wilson also strolled to an emphatic win. However, in the Friday format the size of your win counts for little. Regardless of your teams winning margin, provided you win your game, you can be drawn out for first prize. Such was the case for Ian Febey and Les Wilson who claimed the major prize. Claiming the winner’s runner up prize were Lynn Baxter and Mick Reilly. The loser’s consolation prize went to the combo of Shan and Mike Klodinski. The drinks card winners were Hans Lang and Neil Hamilton. Till next week good bowling.
