Weekly Report September 17


Wednesday Social Bowls.

Wednesday the 13th of September saw 32 players enjoy conditions across both greens, which were running well. High scoring was the formula for those sides who filled the first two places. Allan Goudge (S) and Norm Windebank (L) left the field in their wake with two games won and plus 38 shots, a remarkable effort. In second place with two wins and a very creditable, plus 21 shots were the pairing of Colin Withers (S) and Sue Evans (L). In third spot were the team of Ross Lloyd (S) and Doug Wheeler (L) with two wind and plus 13 shots. Tony Durkin (S) and Don Tipping (L), finishing in fourth place, snapped at Ross and Doug’s heels with two wins and plus 12 shots. In firth spot were the combo of Sandra Skene (S) and Doug McTier (L) with two games won and plus 11 shots. Remarkable that two shots separated the team that finished fifth and third. Visitors T. Effenberger and P. Skene claimed the Rolling Jackpot of $30.00. The Lucky Number winners were Joy Elliot and Neville Coleman.


Friday Social Bowls.

Strong fields are now the norm on Fridays and this week was no exception, with 56 bowlers playing across both greens on Friday the 15th of September. The winners were Rob Hummel and Alan Goudge. In second place were the team of Colin and Vicki Withers. The first consolation prize went to Ray Irvine and Barb Presnell. The second consolation prize of drink cards, went to Cliff and Jan Morton.


Ladies and Men’s Club Singles Championships.

Entry sheets for both the Ladies and Men’s Club Singles Championships are on the Bowls Notice Boards. Entries for both events close on Monday the 9th of October at 3.00 p.m. A reminder that bowlers and markers must wear club uniform for all games. Until next week, good bowling.
