Wednesday Social Bowls.
This week saw a change of format for Wednesday Social Bowls from the traditional pairs to two games of twelve ends of two bowl triples. 18 players took part, and all games were played on the west green. Winners on the day with two games won and plus 8 shots were the team of Alan Goudge (S), Chris Horne (2), and Kurt Bleckwehl (L). Runners up with two games won and plus 7 shots were the combination of Garry Hart (S), Rob Lockwood a visitor, playing (2), and Don Tipping (L). The Rolling Jackpot didn’t go off and this week goes up to approximately $100.00 For a great day of bowls, and good company, not to mention the chance to win that $100.00 place your names on the Wednesday Social Bowls sheet at the bowls office. Friday Social Bowls.
Friday Social Bowls were not held last week, due to the Good Friday Holiday. However, Friday Social resumes this coming Friday the 5th of April, commencing at 12.30 pm. There are still a few rinks available, and with the Friday format of nominated pairs over 18 ends of 2 x 4 x 2 being ever popular get your names in early to secure a rink by placing your names on the list at the bowls office. Visitors are welcome; and if you are a visitor, please place your contact telephone number along with your name.
Presentation Day.
A reminder that Presentation Day is being held this Sunday the 7th of April at the croquet club. The day commences at 12.00 pm and it is not too late to attend. Please place your name on the list at the bowls office. Lunch and drinks are provided, but it would be appreciated if your assist with a salad or dessert.
