YMGCR BOWLS CLUB
Wednesday Social Bowls.
The continuing fine weather saw a solid turnout of 28 bowlers enjoy the conditions for Wednesday Social Bowls last week. The format again, was the ever popular 2 games of 12 ends of 3 bowl pairs. The winners, who won in a canter it has to be said, were the team of Mick Reilly (S) and Greg Fisher (L), who won both their games with, a not to be sneezed at, shot total of plus 23 shots, well played gents. Filling second place with two games won and a shot total of plus 15 shots were Bill Jenkins (S) and Lynne Baxter (L). Third place was a tie between the teams of Ray Brown (S) and Barb Tennyson (L), and Ian Febey (S) and Tony Durkin (L). Both teams won 2 games and finished with a shot total of plus 5 shots.
The Rolling Jackpot did not go off and climbs to $140.00 for this week. The lucky number winners were Greg Green and Frankie Lieberg.
Friday Social Bowls.
Fine weather again, (will it never rain), saw a turnout of 36 players enjoy the free running greens last Friday the 24th of May. The winners were the team of Gary and Mandy Murnane. The Runners Up were Col and Vicki Withers. The losers Consolation Prize went to Michael Vaughan and Gary Presnell. As with Wednesday Bowls, there are usually spots still available, so why not place your names on the Friday and Wednesday Social Bowls lists, at the Bowls Office. Visitors and players from surrounding clubs are welcome. Visitors, please remember to place your contact telephone number along with your name.
