Wednesday Social Bowls Report.

Continuing fine weather greeted the 18 players who participated in last Wednesday’s Social Bowls. All games were played on the west green and the format was the usual, and popular three bowl pairs. Due to the odd number of players there was one game of triples. Those participating in the triples game were the sides of Mick Szabo, Bill Hidson and Neville Coleman vs Mick Reilly, Tony Durkin and Frankie Lieberg. Thanks gents for adjusting so willingly to the different format.

The overall winners on the day, were the team of Les Wilson (S) and Noel Millar (L) who won both their games with a shot total of plus 6 shots. Runners up with one game won and a drawn game were the pairing of Greg Green (S) and Lynne Baxter (S), who had a shot total of plus 5.

The Lucky Number winners were Noel Millar and Terry Baxter. The Rolling Jackpot was claimed by Les Wilson who walked away with a healthy $160.00. The Jackpot win rounded out a very successful day for Les, and the Jackpot resets to $20.00 for the next round of Wednesday Social Bowls.

 

Friday Social Bowls Report.

With the 25 mm of much needed rain that we received last Thursday night you could be forgiven for assuming that Friday Social Bowls may not go ahead. But it is a testament to the quality of our greens that Social did indeed go ahead and, considering the rain, the greens played really well, so congratulations are in order for the greens maintenance team.

40 players participated and the games were played across both greens. Winners on the day were the team of Bill Jenkins and Lynne Baxter. The Runners Up were Greg Green and Andy LeFevre. The Consolation Prizes of a drink card each went to the pairing of Barb Tennyson and Norm Windebank. Until next week, good bowling.
