Wednesday Social Bowls Report.
As far as playing numbers go, it has been steady as she goes over the last few weeks and again, we had 32 players turn out for Social Bowls last Wednesday. Games were played in the east – west configuration. The greens were running well, and the weather was fine, if not warm. Taking home the first prize of $100.00, and a drink card each, were the team of Greg Green and Andy Lefevre. Second prize of $60.00 was shared by the combination of Terry Cartwright and Michael Szabo. The consolation prize for the lucky losers was won by the side of Robyn Forge and Neville Coleman, who shared $40.00. The first Lucky Number raffle prize was won by Fred Donaldson. The second Lucky Number raffle prize was won by Barb Tennyson.
Friday Social Bowls Report.
The forecast for threatening weather on Friday may have been a contributing factor to the lower than usual bowler turnout for Social Bowls on Friday, where 24 players participated. Winning first prize and finding the conditions to their liking on rink 2 were Doug McTier and Andy LeFevre, who shared the first prize of $70.00. As the saying goes, number 13 is lucky for some, and such was the case for the team of Garry Seamer and Fred Donaldson who enjoyed the conditions on rink 13 and won second prize of $60.00. The lucky losing rink prize of $40.00 was won by the combo of Terry Cartwright and Michael Szabo. The first Lucky Number prize of a drink card and $20.00 was won by Andy LeFevre. The second Lucky Number prize of $15.00 was won by David Irvine.
