Another hot spell to interrupt our Pennant season, with Ovens and Murray decision makers again prioritising players and their health and wellbeing in cancelling weekend Pennant. This leaves us with only one round to go for Pennant season 2019-20 before finals begin.
Club / State Events
Men’s 21 Up … The finalists of the Men’s 21 Up are Garry Sanders and Don Ellis. We wish them both “good bowling,” The match will be played next Saturday, February 8th.
Ladies Pairs … The semi-final between Anne Miles/Claire Sanders and Laureen Smith/Rhonda Irvine was an enthralling match played in very hot conditions. The bowling was top class, and after 15 ends tied at 12 all. Anne and Claire won with one shot up after playing an extra end. The match for the other final position between Caroline Reilly/Kim Johnston and Marie Morffew/Betty Richmond is to be held Thursday morning, February 6th.
Men’s Pairs … The first round of this event will be held on Sunday, February 9th.
Ovens and Murray Men’s and Ladies Over 60’s Pairs
This event was postponed due to extreme weather conditions, and will be finalised on Thursday, February 13th at YMGCR.
