Pennant Finals
Tuesday, February 25th … Midweek Preliminary Final
YMGCR V Wodonga at Corowa Civic.
Talk about pressure! Our Midweek A1 had a big day at the office against Wodonga. It was up and down all the way, and either side could have gone on to the Grand Final.
So with 2 rinks completed it was still anyone’s game. The pressure was on, and Anne Miles team certainly rose to the occasion. On the 24th end Anne pulled off an amazing save by killing the end.
The replay of the end saw her save the end again by taking the jack to the ditch, and following it into the sand for one shot. What a champion!
The last end was tense and the spectators sat quietly, enthralled by what was happening.
We ended up one shot short. BUT … Hold your heads high A1. You did us proud.
