YMGCR BOWLS CLUB

Wednesday we had our monthly “Jack Attack” day.  We had 32 players and the winners with 38 points were the combination of Greg Green and Andy Lefevre.  Runners up were Tony Durkin and Bob Evans with 35 points.  Best first game winners went to the Withers pairing of Vicki and Col (Vicki carried the team).  The best second game winners went to Cat and Grumby.

Friday bowls had 28 players and the lucky winners fresh from the Gold Coast were Garry Presnell and Noel Millar.  Runners up were Ray Brown and Julian Jones and third went to Danny McNeill and Mick Dixon.

Sunday we had the “Opening of the Green”.  We had 42 players take on the chilly conditions and getting the win were Pam Dodman, Norm Windebank and Denise Trubiano.  We then went and had a great lunch and many raffles.  The club would like to thank these sponsors…..Terry White Chemist, Blooms Chemist, Jim Conway, Yarrawonga Newsagent and Woolworths.

This Saturday (17th) we have a practice match against Benalla at Benalla.  The bus will leave at 9.30 for a 11.00 am start.  This will be followed by a BBQ and we will be home in plenty of time for all the football nuts.  The teams will be selected on Thursday night…..so if you haven’t got your name down please do so.  It will cost you $5.00.

A Midweek practice will be played on the 20th Sept. at Benalla.  Put your name down on the sheet (this has all the details for the day).
