Weekly Report July 28

YMGCR BOWLS CLUB

Wednesday Social Bowls.

The re formatted Wednesday Social Bowls continues to build with 24 players participating last Wednesday. All games were 3 bowl pairs, with the east green being used, and games were played east west. The green ran well, and the weather was fine, with a light breeze, which was reflected in the tight heads across most rinks. The winners on the day were, Peter Verlardo (S), and Chris Horne (L). The consolation losing rink was the team of Neville Coleman (S) and Robyn Forge (L). The Lucky Number winners were, Barb Tennyson. While numbers for Wednesdays are heading north there is still room available for further entries, so place your names on the entry sheets on the Bowls Notice Boards. Single entries and visitors from surrounding clubs and those form further afield are most welcome. If you are a visitor, please include a contact telephone number when you place your name on the list.

Friday Social Bowls.

Foggy conditions greeted those who are early risers last Friday, and with little, or no wind the fog hung around until just before the day’s game commenced. Despite the weather 32 players turned out for the day. Both greens were used for play and the games were played in the north / south orientation. The winners were Tom and Phil from Tungamah. Winners Runners Up were the combo of Greg Green and Andy Lefevre. Friday’s Consolation Prize went to the team of Ray Butler and Shane Maddox. Until next week, good bowling.
