YMGCR Bowls Club
Wednesday Social Bowls Report.
Given the rain we experienced early last week, and the less than appealing forecast for last Wednesday the 3rd of June, the roster of 32 players was commendable. It also gave testimony to the popularity of the Wednesday nominated 3 bowl pairs format. Merv Hannaford and Steve Jones, who were visiting from Katandra West found the drive worthwhile when they claimed first prize of $90.00 and a drink card each. Steve and Merv, we hope you enjoyed your day, and we look forward to seeing you again. It was a case of ladies to the fore for the runners up prize where the team of Judy Leeson and Jenny Thomas saluted the judges and shared $60.00. The losing rink consolation prize of $20.00 was won by the combo of Nicole Smith and Doug McTier. The first Lucky Number Raffle prize of $25.00 was won by Neil Hamilton, from Yarrawonga Bowling Club. The second Lucky Number raffle prize of $10.00 was won by Mick Reilly.
