An up and down week for our Pennant finals teams. The end result is that our Weekend A1 has made it through to the Grand Final. Our B2 put up a gallant effort in their Preliminary Final against Benalla, but fell short by a mere 2 shots.

Midweek teams still have matches to play, and hopefully we can still advance further with the A1 and A3 teams.

We wish all teams good bowling, and urge all members to support the remaining teams.

Congratulations to Peter Lidgerwood and Kerry Kinnane (and helpers), on an excellent series. Bowling is alive and kicking at YMGCR. We hope that all participants have enjoyed their games, and will return next year, and encourage others to “have a go” in 2020.

State/ Region Events 

State Test … Victoria V South Australia 

Our 2 girls, Claire Sanders and Anne Miles were part of the successful Vic team with a good 4-1 win over SA.

Anne Miles was also awarded Player of the Series.

Region/State Ladies Pairs

YMGCR’s Sue Middleton teamed with Kerry Leask (Benalla) to win the Ovens and Murray Ladies Pairs, and will now move on to State Final at a later date. Congratulations!
