YMGCR BOWLS CLUB

We have now got down to our last 4 in the Men’s Singles Championship.  Garry Sanders will play Peter Velardo in one Semi and the LeFevres will contest the other  Semi Final.  All four games were tight encounters.  Garry beat Wazza Henderson 25 to 17, Peter beat last year’s champ in Greg Green with a similar score, Jim beat new boy Szabs in a tight and entertaining game 25 to 23 and Andy beat Rory Brown 25 to 20.

In the Ladies Championship the Semi Finals were played between Anne Miles who beat Claire Sanders and Laureen Smith who beat Susie Evans.  We will inform you when the finals will be played.

We have got several team mates travelling to Warrnambool to represent the O&M in the State Championships, so good luck Garry Sanders, Jim and Andy LeFevre in the triples, Anne Miles in the mixed pairs and Susie “Q” Middleton in the ladies pairs.

On Saturday we will be having a practice match starting at 1:00 pm.  Teams will be picked on the day, so if you want a game, be there by 12:30 pm (no uniforms).
