YMGCR BOWLS CLUB

Wednesday Social had 16 players and the winners were Neville Coleman and an up and coming bowler Denise Trubiano with 2 wins and +22.  Runners up with 2 wins and +11 were Don Tipping and a visitor Barry Channing.

Also on Wednesday a few of our club mates travelled to the Moama May Tournament and so far we have only one result of note…… “Shagga” Baxter and his lovely wife Lyn got a best game winner (Lyn bowled out of her skin to carry the old bloke).  Lyn was fired up before the game as they were about to play their first end when another team walked up …….3 on the same rink …….as usual Shagga had stuffed it up again.

On the weekend our victorious A1 team will be playing over at Moama in the State Regional Championship.  Come along and give them support.  It’s just over an hour away, so bring your partner and take her or him out for lunch and get some browny points.  There will be plenty of great bowls and we have got a realistic chance of making the final.

Don’t forget our AGM on the 29th May at 10am followed by the Presentation of awards at 12.00 and PUT your name on the list for catering numbers
