YMGCR BOWLS CLUB
Wednesday Social Bowls.
20 players took part in last Wednesday’s Social Bowls, where the format was two games of 12 ends of 3 bowls pairs. All games were played on the east green. Winners on the day were Norm Windebank (S) and Frankie Lieberg (L) with two games won and plus 23 shots. The runners up 2 games won and plus 18 shots were the team of Les Balfour (S) and Thomas Schwaar (L). The Lucky Number was won by Gavin Borwick. The Rolling Jackpot did not go off, and this week stands at $40.00
Friday Social Bowls – Nominated Pairs.
The popular Friday Nominated Pairs commences this Friday the 15th of March. Friday Social was a roaring success last year, so why not make up a pair and place your names on the entry sheets at the Bowls Office. The game commences at 12.30 pm and the cost is $10.00 per player, which is great value. The format is one game of 18 ends 2 x 4 x 2. The prize money is really worthwhile, and you don’t have to win by the length of the straight to win the big prize. Players from surrounding clubs are welcome, as are visitors to Yarrawonga / Mulwala. Visitors, please include your contact telephone number along with your team names. Presentation Day.
Presentation Day will be held on Sunday, the 7th of April commencing at 12.00 pm. The venue for the function is the Croquet Club Rooms. There is no cost attached for attending the event, food and drink is provided. There is an attendance list on the Bowls Office Notice Board. If you are attending, please write your name on the list asap so that we can finalise catering arrangements. Please bring along a chair and it would be appreciated if you could contribute a salad or dessert.
AGM and Nominations for the Bowls Committee.
The Bowls Section AGM will be held at the Golf Club on Monday the 6th of May commencing at 7.00 pm. If you wish to nominate for the Committee there are Nomination Forms on the Bowls Office Notice Board. Nominating for the Committee is a chance to make a positive contribution to the Bowls Section.
