Wednesday Social Bowls.
Last Wednesday’s fine autumn weather saw a strong turnout off 44 players for Social Bowls. Numbers were boosted by a contingent of players from Leopold Bowls Club, which is located on the Bellarine Peninsula, which is on the outskirts of Geelong. We hope that the Leopold bowlers enjoyed the greens and fine weather.
The first prize of $120.00 and a drink card each went to the combo of Neville Coleman and Michael Szarbo. The runners up prize of $80.00 was won by Judy Leeson and Jenny Thomas. The losing rink consolation prize of $60.00 was won by two visitors from Leopold, Sharon Hair and Karen Musfel; well done ladies. The first Lucky Number prize of $20.00 was won by Norm Windebank and the second Lucky Number prize of $15.00 was won by Fred Donaldson.
Friday Social Bowls.

YMGCR Bowls Section AGM.
The YMGCR Bowls Section is holding it’s Annual General Meeting for the 2025 / 2026 season this coming Sunday the 3rd of May. The meeting will commence at 3.00pm in the YMGCR theatre. Traditionally, the AGM has been held on a Monday evening. The Bowls Committee after consideration, have decided to change the day to a Sunday afternoon in recognition that many of our members do not like driving in the evenings. We hope that the change of day and time will be welcomed by members, translating into more members attending the AGM. Nibbles and drinks may be served after the meeting: to be confirmed. For those that are interested there is a game of social bowls before the meeting. Name sheets, for those that are interested in playing are now on the Bowls Office notice board. The game will commence at 1.00pm and run through until 2.30pm. Until next week, good bowling.
